My First Hex Wargame Board

I‘ve almost completed my first wargame board made from the Hex Terrain Toolkit I helped to fund on Kickstarter last September.

Since I got the kit I have spent some time most days making hexes out of underfloor heating insulation and I’m pleased to say I’ve almost completed a 6 by 4 foot table of terrain.

It’s not been an easy job and it is not something for the easily bored. making hex upon hex and cutting each individual one out with a hot wire cutter is not for the feint-hearted! The amount of times I set it up and had to make more snowflakes or half-size hexes, or just another 50 full-size hexes. But eventually I have something I can call a wargames board.

There are some photos below which I hope give a flavour of the project and then a video which takes you through my first board. If you have any comments or questions, let me know.
